New series of Gastronuts is on BBC1 every Friday at 4.35 - runs until May.

I’m making a new BBC2 food science series called Stefan Gates on Es due to TX this April. I’m also writing a book to be published alongside it by Conran Octopus

What DId Jesus Eat: another Radio 4 documentary due to TX in April. Haven’t actually recorded it yet, but we will!

March 5th I’ll be talking at Destinations Travel Show in Birmingham. Come along and say hi.

Book number five is getting there. It’s called The Extraordinary Cookbook and we’re about halfway through shooting the photos. It’s a pretty spectacular affair, I can tell you. Published October 2010 by Kyle Cathie

Got two nominations for Guild of Food Writers Awards for Best Broadcast (Gastronuts) and Best Travel Work (Cooking in the Danger Zone). No gong though.

Recipe to try

Okay, it doesn’t look that appetising here, but if you’ve never tried one, you should have a go at making a Bum Sandwich.

CookIt Competition for

Gastronuts aged 10-14

I’m judging the brilliant CookIt! competition for cool young cooks. Its run by the Guild of Food Writers together with the sponsors Gold Top, and the challenge is to create a dream meal for you and your friends. You’ll need to come up with some fun, tasty ideas (I’d advise you to take over the kitchen for a few meals to try them out) and then write them down on this entry form (it’s a PDF file). Dead easy.

Hurry up though - the deadline is the 30th April.

Countdown to CookIt!:

Good luck.
